Current events

There can be no doubt the lads have changed in the years since Help! They travelled the world, and the world took notice. They also visited India, and, perhaps sick and tired of fame, stopped touring in 1966. Yellow Submarine also points to a different kind of departure. Fashion, design and the media are all changing. Poster art is in bloom, magazines, book and records are ever easier on the eye, and even animated films have something new to offer – as we can see here. Meanwhile, the members of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, dressed in their whimsical outfits, play the tunes, and save the world with love on their side.

In the original language, with Hungarian subtitles.

Host András Réz

The discussions before and after the screening will be conducted in Hungarian.
