We should know the great features of Hungarian theatre, and Sári Fedák was one of the greatest. She was the prima donna. She was a star from Budapest to New York. For a time, she was in a stormy marriage with Ferenc Molnár.
As a consequence of accusations against her which were never proven, after 1945 she was neglected. She was never able to perform on stage again. She ascended the peaks and was plunged into hell. She was deservedly celebrated and undeservedly shoved to one side. Actress Nelli Szűcs plays Fedák in this production, capturing her personality, the unknowable secret of her talent, her success, and the burdens of her success. The production offers memoirs, letters, documents, and the songs which once brought success from the life of a legendary actress.
