A világ egyik leghíresebb Grimm-meséjéből készült táncjáték a budapesti ősbemutató óta nemcsak itthon, hanem külföldön is hatalmas népszerűségre tett szert, az elmúlt 20 évben három kontinenst meghódítva bejárta a világot.

The respective Easter rituals of the Székely Land, the Rábaköz, former Upper Hungary and the south of the Great Hungarian Plain – both Christian and pagan – are linked in a unified dramatic form.

The Hungarian Dance Association has been organising for many years, in cooperation with the National Dance Theatre, a gala evening on the biggest celebration of dance, where the professional awards of the Association are presented. The awards of theZoltán Imre Foundation and the Zoltán Nagy Jr. Foundation will also be presented on this evening. At the gala evening, after the award ceremonies, the performance of the choreographer who won the "Best Artist of the Season" award will be held among others.

A Ringató foglalkozásokon megismertetjük a kisgyermekes családokkal a zenei nevelés lehetőségeit. Célunk, hogy a szülők és a gyerekek átéljék a közös éneklés és játék élményét. Várunk mindenkit, aki maga is úgy érzi, fontos az, hogy a művészet eszközeivel neveljünk, aki szívesen énekel, bővíti a dalkincsét, vagy éppen önmaga bátortalan az éneklésben.

Classical ballet in three acts

The world premiere of László Dubrovay's dance drama Faust, the Damned took place at Müpa Budapest in 2016, as part of the Budapest Spring Festival. This large-scale production inspired by Goethe's masterpiece debuted on the main stage of the National Theatre of Pécs in the 2023/24 season, and will run again in 2024 at Müpa Budapest's Festival Theatre.

Maciej Kuźmiński Négy évszak című munkája az életet ünnepli, amelyet kaleidoszkóp-szerű képekben jelenít meg egy szinte már hipnotikus és összetett tánckompozícióban. A Közép-Európa Táncszínház hét táncosára készült alkotás Kuźmiński koreográfiai stílusának legjellemzőbb elemeit viszi színpadra, amit a népi hagyományok újraértelmezésével vegyít.

Humanity has grown too distant from its original, natural environment. While we yearn for a more harmonious existence, we are surrounded by more and more chaos every day, making it increasingly difficult to find our way around and live a healthy life.

Ever since God gave Adam a companion, fashioned from his rib, in Paradise, the order of the world has been that no one should live alone. Its modality has taken dozens of shades over the millennia since then: cohabitation, bigamy, polygamy, polyandry, all the way until we come to the most familiar form today.

What do people really want? The answer is difficult, since we are constantly searching for a way out of a perfect world, the way back to Eden after our exile. The Eve & Adam performance addresses this universal question through the language of movement and the artistic representation of two young choreographers.

Why is the 400-year-old story of Romeo and Juliette, the world’s best known romantic tragedy, still so relevant today? Because love is eternal, the rebelliousness of youth persists, and the world is still filled with inexplicable contraditions.

We don’t really understand why he does what he does – Hermes is an enigma. His personality irritates us, yet there is something about him that captivates us. How does he enchant us? What is at the heart of the magic that this taboo-breaking, charming and arrogant trickster casts on us?

Our latest production was inspired by And Then There Were None, the best-selling novel by world-famous author Agatha Christie, which explores the concept of sin as a moral dilemma, built around ten symbolic signs of sin.

A Madarak küzdelmében (Lutte of Birds) a madarak szárnyalásának érzete szivárog át a Lutte eredeti koncepcióján, létrehozva ezzel egy új és izgalmas, dinamikus fúziót a Frenáktól jól ismert küzdelem-, és szabadság-tematika között. „Pórázon tartjuk a többieket, amíg kiszolgálnak minket, simogatunk, de abban a pillanatban, hogy kicsit mozdulnak, mennének, visszarántjuk őket.” – így jellemzi Frenák azt az erőszakos, hatalomgyakorló attitűdöt, ami a Lutte-ben jelenik meg, és világunkat évszázadok óta kísérti.
